Millwork
To get the quality and care we require for our own lumber and finished products, we do all of our processing in house. We also offer these same services to our customers. We are set up to cut and surface pieces up to 52″ wide. We’ve recently doubled the size of our shop, so feel free to call or bring by your project for help. We generally have a very quick turn around time and can do most things while you wait.
Widebelt Sanding
Our 52″ wide dual head sander handles figured and trick grain with ease. We can start at 36 grit for abrasive planing and work our way down to a perfectly accurate smooth 150 grit finish.

Surface Planing
Built in 1942, our old Neuman 24″ wide planer never slows down. With a variable speed drive for fast production dimensioning, or slow smooth finish planing, this beast makes quick work of sizing soft and hard woods. We also have a surfacing attachment for one of our mills that works like a giant router on a track to flatten and surface 52″+ wide. It spins horizontally and can remove up to 1/4″ of thickness per pass with minimal tear out.

Resaw
We use carbide tipped blades on our Laguna bandsaw that leave a near planer smooth finish with only a 1/16″ kerf. It can resaw up to 18″ wide material and is perfect for getting the most out of extremely valuable woods, such as instrument grade hardwoods.

Edge Joining
Another vintage machine in service in our shop is the 12″ wide jointer. Whether its a glue line straight edge, or flattening a cupped or twisted board, this is the perfect tool for the job.

Portable Sawmills
Our fully hydraulic woodmizer bandsaw mill is the workhorse of our operation. It quickly handles up to 36″ diameter logs with a thin kerf blade that will cut up to 24″ wide pieces. Our Lucas mill (pictured) has a circle saw blade to accurately cut dimensional lumber from the biggest logs up to 6″ x 6″. We mostly use it with our slabbing attachment to cut single piece slabs up to 54″ wide. Both mills will handle a 20′ long log and stay setup at our location. Both ultra portable and available for hire at your location for onsite cutting.

Crane Truck
Our crane truck can haul 10,000 lbs at a time and is short enough to get into tight alleys and yards. With a dump bed, lifting capacity of 6,000 lbs, and 100′ of winch line, it is a versitle tool for lifting, hauling, skidding, and material handling. Whether its logs, dirt, stones, small sheds, or equipment, we’ve hauled it all.

Kiln Drying
Our new de-humidification style kiln gently dries all species of woods to 6-9% moisture content with minimal degrade. It has a 3000 bd. ft. capacity and will handle up to 25′ long lengths. It stays pretty full and in full service for our needs but is occasionally available for custom projects.
